Commitment
The COSTEBELLE cooperative was created in 1925 when a group of local wine producers who all shared the same wine-growing values and ideals decided to get together to produce their own exceptional wines.
The cooperative grew up based on the group's shared principles. And today it continues to go from strength to strength, still embodying the traditional link between the land and those who work it.
The Costebelle team
Through their vineyards, the wine-growers play an essential role in controlling the area's stunning natural environment and beauty. In fact, the continuous, year-long nature of vineyard culture is vital to the countryside's upkeep and helps maintain the traditional French village life. Indeed, the cooperative often represents the central point in the economic and cultural life of the local villages.
By working together, the wine-growers have managed to maximise their efficiency. As they nurture their vines all year-round they are involved in every step of the wine's production, from its original conception, through the entire wine-making process to the end sales. Overlooking proceedings from start to finish are the team's technical experts, wine-making specialists, cellarmen and sales people.
This harmony between tradition and innovation is the key to Costebelle's success. The cooperative understands how to link strength and creativity to respond to its customers' diverse range of demands without compromising the unique charms of ‘le terroir'.
